The New Zealand National Basketball League is stacked with NBL talent.
Dan Grida is putting in the work this off-season for the Illawarra Hawks, landing himself in the top five of the league for points per game after last week's 40-point showcase.
The 26-year-old tallied 28 points, seven rebounds and two steals for the Nelson Giants on Friday night. He went up against the Otago Nuggets' Jack Andrew who scored 13 points with eight rebounds.
South East Melbourne Phoenix's Ben Ayre led his Wellington Saints side with 21 points over the Tauranga Whai. Ayre's teammate Tohi Smith-Milner aided in the Saints win with 11 points and six rebounds.
Former 36ers DP, Keanu Rasmussen put up valuable points over the weekend. In game one for the Hawkes Bay Hawks, Rasmussen delivered 23 points with eight rebounds in a loss to the Franklin Bulls, while game two saw a win for his side, as he produced 14 points and two assists.
NBL24 import for the Taipans, Josh Roberts, shocked the NZNBL when he dominated in game two of the Hawks' win. He racked up a huge tally of 26 points and 28 rebounds over the Manawatu Jets.
NBL trio Lachlan Olbrich, Max Darling, and Walter Brown earned a strong 34-point win for the Canterbury Rams. Olbrich top-scored with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Darling tallied 10 points and four rebounds. Brown finished on six points and four rebounds.
