The first round of NBL1 Grand Finals took place over the weekend, with Andrew Ferguson’s Perry Lakes Hawks crowned inaugural NBL1 West champions.

The 2021 Perth Wildcats development player was also named the Grand Final MVP following his 18 points and 15 rebounds in the 10-point win over Rockingham.
Up north, it was a big weekend of semi-finals which saw Emmanuel Malou’s Mackay advance to the inaugural NBL1 North Men’s Championship Series.
Malou dominated against Tanner Krebs’ USC, notching up 34 points and 10 rebounds to go with one huge dunk.
In the other semi, Shaun Bruce’s Logan Thunder went down to the Cairns Marlins.
The dominant duo of Jack McVeigh and Sunday Dech continued to lead the way in NBL1 Central after they guided North Adelaide into the NBL1 Central Grand Final.
Coming up against minor premiers Sturt, McVeigh and Dech combined for 59 points and 16 rebounds in a big prelim performance.
