NBL Oz Gaming Roster Grows

The inaugural NBL Oz Gaming roster has been bolstered at the Expansion Draft with ‘Jyden’ McBath-Spencer and Frederick ‘DjayTooCold’ Payton joining the team.

Jyden played for NetsGC last season and will bring a laid-back personality to the squad. The versatile guard has the ability to play at both the point and shooting guard positions and will create a strong backcourt tandem with Australian Harry ‘RealHvzn’ Spierings.

DjayTooCold brings an imposing presence at the power forward position to NBL Oz Gaming. One of the most talented youngsters in the NBA 2K League, DjayTooCold made the All-Rookie Team last season while playing for T-Wolves Gaming. He will become one of the main communicators on the defensive end and brings a fun and energetic personality to the team.

The core trio of RealHvzn, Jyden and DjayTooCold has coach Mitchell ‘Mootyy’ Franklin excited about the team’s potential next season.

“We believe we have the perfect blend of experience, skill and character to be a competitive squad from day one,” Mootyy said.

“Jyden and DjayTooCold were two players we had highlighted from very early in the process and we are delighted to have drafted them. They’re highly talented and fit the culture we are trying to establish at NBL Oz Gaming.

“Our guard duo of Jyden and RealHvzn will work together beautifully while DjayTooCold will bring a level of energy we need to make a statement in our inaugural season.

“The focus now turns to getting our three contracted players together to start building chemistry and implementing a gameplan, while also eyeing next year’s NBA 2K League Draft where we will round out the roster.”

The final two spots on the NBL Oz Gaming roster will be filled at the NBA 2K League Draft early next year.
