NBL Oz Gaming have made history by clinching their first NBA 2K League Playoff spot in 3v3 play.

In their first season, the squad has earned the 7th seed in the 3v3 Playoffs. NBL turned heads in the SLAM and SWITCH Open tournaments, proving the preseason doubters and predictions wrong, after many experts ranked NBL Oz Gaming near the bottom of the ladder.

During the 3v3 season, two of NBL’s players, Jyden and DjayTooCold, were named Players of the Week.

With a win percentage of 57 this season, the Aussie squad has caught the attention of league experts, prompting them to name NBL as arguably the most impressive expansion team they’ve seen to date.

Australian NBL Oz Gaming member Harry ‘HarryVZN’ Spierings has been practicing in scrimmages on the sidelines whilst the 3v3 tournaments have taken place.

Impressing his teammates and head coach Mootyy, Harry will debut in the 5v5 tournament commencing on May 23.

The expansion squad has won the hearts of Australia with their unique bond off the court. ‘The Rooz’ have also been given the nickname ‘Down Under Dogs’ to suit their underrated character.

At the on-stage SWITCH Open tournament in Washington last week, star player Jyden took to the stage with a Kangaroo mascot in representation of the squad’s origins.

Coach Mootyy and the NBL squad are in preparations for their first Playoff game against the 10th seeded Warriors Gaming.
