Just because the NBL is in its off-season, it doesn't mean the best players in the league are resting on their laurels and taking a break.

Stars of the Australian domestic competition are now competing all over the globe and getting important reps in ahead of NBL24.

Melbourne United’s Chris Goulding proved to be the decisive factor in an offensive shootout for Paris Basketball against Roanne, as the NBL veteran dropped 21 points in just 14 minutes of action in the 12-point win.

Goulding hit five of his eight three-point attempts on the night, and hit all four of his free throws in the 120-107 victory, and was the third highest scorer for his side on the night despite his limited minutes.

Jack McVeigh has continued his strong run of form in the German Basketball Bundesliga with Heidelberg, as he helped his side to two hard-fought victories against Bayreuth and Weissenfels.

Since McVeigh’s arrival at the club, Heidelberg has won seven of its 11 games – a marked improvement on the 7-14 record the side possessed before the JackJumper’s arrival.

Returning Melbourne centre Jo Lual-Acuil Jr turned heads with an incredible 51-point, 14 rebound performance in his first appearance in Dynamo Lebanon’s playoff campaign, but despite his best efforts the former NBL MVP contender was powerless to stop Al Riyadi in his next contest.

Lual-Acuil Jr once again impressed with 21 points and nine boards, but his Dynamo side ended the game on the wrong side of a 35-point margin.

South East Melbourne centre Alan Williams continued to dominate the Japanese B. League, with his Kyoto side registering two heavy wins over a Kyoto side containing former NBA mainstays Ekpe Udoh and Cheick Diallo.
