NBA star eyes NBL investment

Saturday, October 7, 2023
LaMarcus Aldridge has detailed the strong first impression the NBL has made on him.
After he attended the opening game of NBL24, seven-time NBA All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge was so impressed with the NBL he’s expressed a desire to invest in the competition.
NBL investment from current and former NBA stars has become the norm in recent years. John Wall, Zach Randolph, Josh Childress, Al Harrington and Dante Exum (South East Melbourne), Khris Middleton (Brisbane), Shawn Marion (New Zealand) are among a large group of NBA alumni to have invested in the league.
“The brand over here is growing. The NBL is going to keep getting better and people are starting to see that,” Aldridge told News Corp.
“I definitely wouldn’t mind getting involved, but I’d have to figure out in what way … I think the NBL is trending up and quickly.”
