Tomorrow’s preseason game between the Sydney Kings and The Hawks at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney will now be played behind closed doors.
It follows advice by the NSW Government for people to limit travel around Sydney. The NBL and the clubs have strict COVID protocols in place and will follow all protocols as directed by the NSW Government.
NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said: “Like we did with the preseason game in Perth on Thursday night, we will follow the advice of the health authorities and the advice at this stage is that tomorrow’s game can go ahead behind closed doors.
“But we will continue to monitor the situation closely. The game has also been moved to 5pm AEDT so it starts after the completion of the WNBL Grand Final in Townsville.”
The game will be streamed live and free on NBL TV and NBL’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch channels from 5pm AEDT. Refunds will be issued to fans who purchased tickets for the game.
The Brisbane Bullets will play South East Melbourne Phoenix at Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre at 1pm AEDT tomorrow. The game will also be streamed live and free on NBL TV and NBL’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Twitch channels.
