Adelaide 36ers prospect Kai Sotto has vowed to lift his game despite putting in a strong performance for the Philippines on Monday night.

Sotto put up a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double in what was a monster win over Saudi Arabia, with the 36ers star forming a formidable one-two punch with Utah guard Jordan Clarkson.

The Philippines side kept their opposition to just eight points in the third term as they ran out as 38-point winners.

“I have to be better,” Sotto said. I never had a perfect game and I think I didn’t player [well] enough … but a win is a win so I’m happy with that.

“It’s a good win … I learned a lot and I consider this a success for us.”

Sotto will now return to Adelaide after ending the FIBA World Cup qualifying window on a high despite losing to Lebanon just days earlier.
