"I had heard a couple of months ago that he was open to or wanted to come back to the NBL."

With free agency now open and big dominoes already falling, the race to secure the key names ahead of next season is heating up.

According to the panel on The Marketplace, superstar point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright is a name that is floating around among some of the club’s decision-makers.

“I had heard a couple of months ago that he was open to or wanted to come back to the NBL,” Pete Hooley said.

“There was interest around the rest of the league and from him I believe”

“I’m still under the impression that he’s not against a return to the NBL,” ESPN’s Olgun Uluc added.

The dynamic guard has made a huge impact since arriving in the league two seasons ago, averaging 20 points per game, to go with 6 rebounds.

“A lot of Parker's individual brilliance actually masks the fact that this is a serious basketball player and he wants to play the right way,” Derek Rucker added.

“He gives good effort defensively for a small guy he still gets exploited because of his size, but this is a guy that can win you a game on his own anytime.”

With Matthew Dellavedova reportedly agreeing to a deal in Sydney, that removes one potential landing spot for Jackson-Cartwright, but there are still some strong suitors available according to the panel.

“If I'm South East Melbourne Phoenix I'm circling that as a key name to go and bring in,” Pete Hooley said.

“That’s exactly the fit I think is the right one.”

“The toughness of Josh King as a coach isn't too dissimilar to Modi Maor, who Parker really thrived under,” Rucker added.

After a tough ending to NBL25, Jackson-Cartwright still found himself in the top of the major statistical categories.

So where's PJC land next?
