Breakers make coach call

The New Zealand Breakers have locked in their head coach for the NBL26 campaign.

The New Zealand Breakers will have a revamped roster and new ownership in NBL26, but one of the most important areas of the club is staying as is - the head coaching role.

Petteri Koponen was brought into the club late in the NBL25 off-season, with a full roster already built and a season quickly approaching.

Now, re-signing for next season with control over the Free Agency period. along with a fresh-look ownership team, Koponen and the Breakers will look to build from the ground up.

Mitch McCarron, Sam Mennenga, Sean Bairstow, Max Darling, Tacko Fall, Carlin Davison, Karim Lopez (Next Star), Kaia Isaac (DP) and Alex McNaught (DP) are all contracted for NBL26.
