Law believes in Frazier II
Perth star Vic Law says the return of import Michael Frazier II in tonight’s game against Adelaide will unlock a new dimension of the Wildcats’ offence.
“I think Frazier brings us a whole new dynamic to the offence and to the defence with his toughness. I’m excited to see what it looks like,” Law said via The West Australian.
Hawks want to be remembered: Cleveland
Illawarra Hawks star Antonius Cleveland has a simple goal for his side – to be remembered.
“I want this team to be remembered, that’s our mindset. We’re not trying to make the four, we’re playing to win every game,” Cleveland said via the Illawarra Mercury.
Cooks not adding fuel to fire
Sydney Kings star Xavier Cooks isn’t adding fuel to the fire of tonight’s rivalry game against Illawarra, saying the ladder positioning of both sides tells the story.
“This is one of the biggest games of the year for us. At the end of the day, this is about a second-place team playing a third-place team for a playoff seat right now, so they don’t need any more excuses,” Cooks said via the Sydney Morning Herald.
Hawks want to become big brother
Illawarra Hawks co-owner and president Dorry Kordahi says the club wants to shake the little brother label in tonight’s clash with Sydney.
“They always call us the little sibling of the NSW rivalry, but this is our chance to prove we also deserve big brother status,” Kordahi said via Newscorp.
McVeigh improves defensive game
Tasmania JackJumpers forward Jack McVeigh feels he has become a better defender this season.
“Defensively, I feel I’ve taken my game to another level, learning how to play that four spot and finding that role in the league of stretching the floor and making an impact at both ends,” McVeigh said via The Advocate.
