Kings reveal details on Hunter replacement

The Sydney Kings have revealed they’re searching for a wing or guard to replace injured import RJ Hunter.

“We are keeping all options open but are particularly focused on a wing or a guard. We are looking at a playmaker, a facilitator and someone who can shoot the ball well,” Kings CEO Chris Pongrass told The Age.

“Matter of time” for Delly scoring outburst

Melbourne United star Matthew Dellavedova wasn’t surprised with his 33-point outburst last weekend, as he continues to find a flow in the club’s offensive system.

“For my career I've been a good shooter, so I think being able to play extended minutes and shoot more in the rhythm of the offense has been good and I felt like it was a matter of time until some started falling,” Dellavedova told ESPN.

Delly will go off again

Melbourne’s Caleb Agada doesn’t think Dellavedova’s scoring spree against the Illawarra Hawks will be a one-off performance.

“Delly’s the GOAT. That’s simple and plain. He was in the NBA for a reason, he was an NBA champion for a reason, he has the respect of NBA legends for a reason. Stay tuned for more performances like that. I love it. It was fun to watch and I can’t wait for him to do it again,” he said via Newscorp.

Kings’ Cadee inquiry

Newscorp’s Matt Logue has reported the Kings were interested in signing Jason Cadee this offseason, but the 30-year-old decided to remain a Brisbane Bullet.

“The Kings went through a number of changes this off-season and there was a lot going on this off-season, maybe more than ever before. The link will always be there, whether it actually happens, I don’t know, but I’m in a very good place in Brisbane right now,” Cadee said.

JackJumpers’ character shines

Having not played a game since New Year’s Day, Tasmania JackJumpers coach Scott Roth says he is proud of how his players have stuck together during COVID isolation periods.
