Talking points

The next chapter

The NBL26 Championship Series, headlined by the duel between Bryce Cotton and Kendric Davis, was nothing short of exceptional.

Now the latest chapter of this intense rivalry between the League’s top two players is set to be written on Sunday, with the two sides coming into the Round 4 fixture with very different fortunes.

Despite that, both the six-time MVP and the player he’s edged out for the trophy in each of the past two seasons will do all they can to ensure victory for their sides, so expect fireworks from the tip.

Igniting Cheatham

Going into the last three minutes of Wednesday’s loss to Melbourne, Zylan Cheatham had 0 points from 2 shots before finishing with a quickfire 8 points.

If Adelaide is going to turn around its season, especially with so many key pieces out, it needs its athletic forward to be more aggressive.

On his day, he’s one of the best forwards, if not all-around players, in the League, and Trevor Gleeson’s side needs the Cheatham from the final three minutes of its last game from the jump on Sunday.
