Hawks lock in veteran presence

Monday, April 7, 2025
The Illawarra Hawks have re-signed Todd Blanchfield on a three-year deal.
Fresh from his first NBL championship, Todd Blanchfield is set to remain at the Illawarra Hawks for three more years.
Having spent 15 seasons in the NBL, the 33-year-old was a key member of the Hawks' title-winning roster this season.
"We're thrilled to have Toddy locked in for the next three seasons," Hawks' General Manager of Basketball, Mat Campbell said.
"He's been an outstanding leader for the club and has been exceptional coming off the bench this season. We’re excited to see him continue to make big plays and hitting big shots for us in the years to come."
“Returning at the Hawks for three years is very special to myself and my family. Not only do we get to defend our championship, but the Illawarra community has embraced my family and I’m like one of their own and I’m forever grateful for that. I'm very excited to be here for another three years,” Blanchfield said.
Blanchfield played 33 games across NBL25, averaging 5.4 points and 2.1 rebounds.
