Clark Primed for 36ers Debut

Adelaide star import signing Ian Clark has a week of practice under his belt and is ready to make his 36ers debut tomorrow night against the Brisbane Bullets.

Clark joined Adelaide last week but sat out the Christmas Eve game against the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

After now having time to adjust to not only a new team, but a new time zone, the 31-year-old is ready to make an impact for the 36ers.

“Everything is going good, I’m finding my feet, getting acclimated to practice and my sleep schedule.” Clark said.

“It’s going good, yesterday was my first full day. Learning the schemes, learning the guys tendencies on the floor and what we want to do as a team.

“Just getting up to speed with everything.”

Clark added he would have loved to play on Christmas Eve but realised it would have been too demanding after the long flight across the Pacific waters.  

“Yeah of course, I always want to compete and play, but I had to be smart and understand my body,” Clark said.

Clark is no stranger to the NBL spotlight after playing a key role for the Sydney Kings’ championship win last season.

Adelaide hosts Brisbane on Thursday night at 7:30pm AEDT.
