He helped the Tasmania JackJumpers create history by claiming the club’s maiden championship during the Hungry Jack’s NBL24 Season, and now Jordon Crawford has kept the door open on a potential reunion with his old club.

During his two seasons in the League with the JackJumpers, in which he averaged 16.1 points, 3.7 assists and 2.2 rebounds, the American point guard became a cult figure on the Apple Isle.

Since then, Crawford spent two seasons in Turkey with Esenler Erokspor.

Most recently, he’s put pen to paper on a deal with newly promoted Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) outfit Çayirova Municipality.

It was the latter that put an end to the hopes of that potential reunion in the short term, but Crawford explained he’d always be open to a potential return to a place he calls “home.”

“I smiled so big once I heard from them [Tasmania] when I woke up. I was too excited to come back home,” Crawford said in an interview with Fox Sports News Australia.

“They reached out to me if I would be interested. I said ‘absolutely’.

“Would love to come back. But they came to me a little late (after signing in Turkey).”

Following this, Fox Sports News reports that the JackJumpers are ‘now considering other options’ in their import positions, alongside the newly re-signed David Johnson.

Joining Johnson on Scott Roth’s side for the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season are Taran Armstrong, Will Magnay, Josh Bannan, Nick Marshall, Ben Ayre and Archie Woodhill.
