"To add a talent of Javon’s calibre to our roster at this stage is really exciting."

The Brisbane Bullets have secured another impressive addition ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Season, locking in the signature of import Javon Freeman-Liberty.

Freeman-Liberty, 25, holds an impressive basketball resume, boasting experience in the NBA and affiliate G League.

He averaged 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in his most recent season with the Windy City Bulls.

“To add a talent of Javon’s calibre to our roster at this stage is really exciting. He’s a hungry player who’s ready to take the next step in his development as a professional,” Brisbane Bullets head coach Stu Lash said.

“His toughness, ferocity, and willingness to compete make him a natural fit for what we value at the Brisbane Bullets.

“Javon will fit seamlessly into our playing group, and I have no doubt he’ll make an immediate impact in the NBL.”

Freeman-Liberty grew a reputation as one of college basketball's best two-way guards. In his senior year with DePaul (2021-22), he averaged 21.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

“I’m excited to come to Brisbane and join a team that’s hungry for success,” Freeman-Liberty said.

“The NBL has a reputation as one of the toughest leagues in the world, and I’m ready to bring my grit, energy, and all-out eaort to the Bullets. I can’t wait to meet the fans, get on the court with my teammates, and chase something special this season.”

Freeman-Liberty's signing follows those of Jaylen Adams and Alex Ducas over the past fortnight.
