The Brisbane Bullets have announced the signing of former Centre of Excellence and University of Montana guard Hunter Clarke as a development player for NBL23.
A 196cm shooting guard, Clarke joins the Bullets off the back of an illustrious junior career which included a stint at the Basketball Australia Global Academy.
Bullets head coach James Duncan says Clarke has all the physical attributes needed to compete at NBL level.
“We are excited to bring Hunter into the fold with the team. He brings good size and strength to the point guard position, and we look forward to developing him further,” Duncan said.
“His attitude has been great since arriving here in Brisbane and adds to our competitive practice environment.”
Clarke joins an exciting Bullets guard group that already contains veterans Tyler Johnson, Nathan Sobey and Jason Cadee – a roster he’s looking forward to working with.
“I’m incredibly excited to jump on board with the Bullets this year. I feel as though competing with and against such an elite group of guards such as Tyler, Sobey and Jason, is an opportunity that can’t be replicated elsewhere and one that I’ll benefit from significantly,” Clarke said.
He joins Johnson, Sobey, Cadee, Aron Baynes, Devondrick Walker, Tyrrell Harrison, Tanner Krebs, DJ Mitchell, Harry Froling, Kody Stattmann, Gorjok Gak, development players Lual Diing, Matt Johns and nominated replacement player Rasmus Bach on the Brisbane Bullets 2022/23 roster.
