One of the greatest players of all-time could be on his way back to the NBL, according to reports.

Are the Adelaide 36ers about to pull off one of the biggest signings in NBL history?

According to renowned NBL presenter John Casey, Bryce Cotton is on the verge of signing a deal in the City of Churches.

"Arguably the greatest player in @NBL history is coming to #Adelaide with the 36ers set to reveal Bryce Cotton is joining the club for #NBL26," Casey tweeted.

The news was also tweeted by 9 News reporter, Will Crouch.

"It’s my understanding the Adelaide 36ers have secured arguably the biggest signature in the club’s history, reaching an agreement with 5-time MVP Bryce Cotton," Crouch said.

Cotton left the Perth Wildcats at the completion of NBL25, having claimed his fifth Most Valuable Player Award.

"It’s a game-changer, without a doubt," John Casey said on a special edition of NBL Now.

"One guy ... one guy can change your fortune so rapidly in our league," Derek Rucker added.

"Bryce is an icon. He’s been a cultural phenom now in the Australian sporting landscape just based on his brilliance."
