Bogut becomes the ninth Australian bestowed with the illustrious honour of being inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.

Australian Boomers legend and NBA champion Andrew Bogut has been inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame, at a ceremony over the weekend in Bahrain.

Bogut becomes the ninth Australian bestowed with the illustrious honour, following in the footsteps of Penny Taylor, Robyn Maher, Tom Maher, Michele Timms, Jan Stirling, Andrew Gaze, Lindsay Gaze and Al Ramsay.

In a distinguished NBA career, he played a total of 783 games across five teams, including 77 Playoff games and a Championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2015.

He returned to the NBL late in his career and won the league’s MVP Award in 2019.
