Blitz tickets on sale now

Gold Coast hoops fans will be able to enjoy a double-header of Hungry Jack’s NBL-calibre action for as little as $15 at the Blitz, with tickets on sale now for the competition’s pre-season tournament.

Children’s tickets are just $10 and adults $15.

The Blitz tips off on Saturday, September 16 and will feature seven days of double-header hoops, plus an additional standalone evening fixture between league powerhouses Melbourne and Sydney.

The pre-season tournament will offer fans their first look at a raft of new superstars to the competition. Sydney’s new crop of stars will be looking to put their foot down in the hopes of kicking off their three-peat attempt in style, while a revamped New Zealand will be hoping to set themselves up to go one step further than NBL23.

Some of the world’s best young talent will be on display with Next Stars AJ Johnson, Trentyn Flowers, Rocco Zikarsky, Bobi Klintman, Alexandre Sarr, Alex Toohey, Ariel Hukporti and Mantas Rubstavicius all on show – along with highly-rated Queensland-based rookies Josh Bannan, Taran Armstrong and Sam Mennenga.

The Adelaide 36ers will enter the tournament hoping to retain the Loggins-Bruton Cup – which is awarded to the winning side, while Tasmania’s Jack McVeigh will be pushing to earn his second straight Ray Borner Medal as the tournament’s MVP.

All games will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, and tickets can be purchased from nblblitz.com.au or through Ticketek, and all games will be streamed live and free on Kayo Freebies.

Competition rules
- Games are worth a maximum of seven points
- Three points are awarded to the winning team
- One point is awarded to the side that wins each quarter
- In the event a quarter is tied, both teams receive half a point
- If a game goes into overtime no points are awarded
