The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) is pleased to announce it has extended its partnership with one of Australia’s favourite retailers, Kmart Australia.

The initiative will see the GAMETIME by Kmart community program continue for its sixth consecutive year. The program delivers educational basketball activities and clinics to school students across Australia and New Zealand, with NBL clubs and players participating. More than 500,000 kids have participated in the program since its fruition, which includes NBL players having a key role in delivering the educational basketball activities.

"We are delighted to be partnering with one of Australia’s favourite retailers, Kmart, for another season, including the GAMETIME by Kmart program," NBL Chief Commercial Officer Brad Joyner said.

"We look forward to another successful season alongside Kmart as we head into one of the most exciting years in recent memory."

"Basketball is one of the most loved and family inclusive sports in Australia & New Zealand that sparks joy across so many generations. As a brand, we are passionate about our purpose of making everyday living brighter for our community, so we are proud to continue to partner with the NBL," Kmart’s Head of Marketing Rennie Freer said.

"This season, we look forward to launching a new in-stadium participation promotion, as well as our GAMETIME by Kmart community program, as it continues to grow and provide children a pathway to improved wellbeing."

GAMETIME by Kmart is an entertaining and engaging program for primary schools allowing students to learn how to play basketball, develop skills, and meet and play against the NBL community. It strives to help create strong community links and lifelong fans of the game, in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.

The 2022/23 Hungry Jack’s NBL season tips-off on Saturday October 1, when the South East Melbourne Phoenix face the Tasmania JackJumpers and the Illawarra Hawks battle the Sydney Kings.

Both games will be broadcast on ESPN via Kayo and Foxtel.
