The Adelaide 36ers have secured the signings of three development players following their recent talent search.

The Adelaide 36ers have announced the signing of two new and one returning development player for NBL24, following the club’s recent talent search.

Fraser Roxburgh will return to the club after signing a one-year development player contract for NBL23. The 18-year-old made one appearance for the club last season aged just 17.

He’s been playing for the West Adelaide Bearcats in NBL1 Central this season, alongside Adelaide teammate Mitch McCarron and Illawarra centre Lachlan Olbrich, where he has averaged almost 14 points per game on over 50 per cent shooting.

After representing the Canberra Gunners in last season’s NBL1 East campaign, new development player signing Akech Aliir moved to the North Adelaide Rockets ahead of the new season.

The 200-centimetre forward’s half brother – Aliir Aliir - currently plays for Port Adelaide in the AFL.

Aliir has averaged over 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets this season, and added 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists against Roxburgh’s Bearcats in Round 12.

Adelaide local Harvey White has also been added to the 36ers’ development list for the upcoming season following his strong performances at the recent U20 National Championships – where he both started and captained South Australia despite being aged just 17 at the time.

White has recently made the step up to Sturt’s senior side in NBL1 Central, where he has been playing alongside fellow 36er Keanu Rasmussen.

“Being able to establish the DP camp was exciting for the club and very rewarding for the players,” Adelaide head coach CJ Bruton said.

“We had a wide range of players out there that probably wouldn’t have ever got that opportunity to showcase their play.

“With Keanu already signed, it was tough to make the selections as there was a lot of talent on show, but Fraser, Akech and Harvey really impressed.”
