Biography
Is coming into NBL25 at the Illawarra Hawks fresh off dominating the NZ NBL where he won a championship, was MVP of the league and Grand Final MVP.
The 20-year-old South Australian big man returned to Australia last NBL season with the Hawks and showed some good signs on the team that reached the finals, and now is ready to explode further as he chases his NBA dream.
The impressive 6'10 centre grew up in Adelaide and that's where he began his basketball journey, including a stint as a development player with his hometown 36ers in the 2021/22 season.
On the back of that he headed to college to attend the University of California Riverside and in his season there with the Highlanders in 2022/23, produced 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds across 34 games.
He was the Big West Freshman of the Year but elected to not return to UC Riverside and initially came back to Adelaide to help the West Adelaide Bearcats win an NBL1 Central championship.
Producing 21.1 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting at 59.3 per cent from the floor ahead of signing at the Hawks for three NBL seasons.
The first of those saw him play 12 minutes across his 31 appearances for 3.8 points and 3.1 rebounds, but it was only scratching the surface of what he's capable of.
He went up another level in spectacular fashion with the Canterbury Rams delivering 20.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 blocks to be named NZ NBL MVP and then end up winning a championship and named Grand Final MVP ahead of NBL25 with the Hawks.
