Winner’s mentality: Olbrich earns Combine call-up

Monday, May 12, 2025
Illawarra Hawks star Lachlan Olbrich will join the original 75 participants at the NBA's Draft Combine.
Lachlan Olbrich has been selected as one of five NBL call-ups to the NBA Draft Combine, after his outstanding G League Elite Camp performances.
The Hawks’ big man was phenomenal across the camp, finishing the second game with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
“I’m a winner, I contribute to winning,” he said following the second game of the camp.
“I can get my teammates involved, I’m a good passer and really share the ball.
“I feel winning is just a trait of mine.”

Olbrich will join the original 75 participants at the Draft Combine, which includes Next Stars Alex Toohey, Izan Almansa and Rocco Zikarsky. Perth Wildcats young gun, Ben Henshall also received an invite to the camp.
Olbrich took off to Los Angeles shortly after winning the championship with Illawarra, to train with Jordan Lawley ahead of the Elite Camp.
With Olbrich’s Draft Combine invite, it’s a strong indication of which direction the draft stock is heading for the 21-year-old.
