Gleeson to miss 36ers showdown with JackJumpers

The Adelaide 36ers sideline will look a little different on Friday night as Senior Assistant Coach Mark Marinovic will lead the team in Tasmania, with Head Coach Trevor Gleeson missing the game due to a family commitment.

The club announced Gleeson was granted leave and will return to coach against the South East Melbourne Phoenix next week.

Marinovic, who was an assistant coach with the Serbian national team that won bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, also led the team during the CODE Sports NBL Blitz, where he picked up a win over Cairns.

The 36ers currently sit eighth in the standings and will be looking to build off their impressive win over Sydney last weekend.

Friday’s blockbuster against the top-of-the-table JackJumpers tips off at 7:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
