Talented import finds new club

Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Trey Kell is back for NBL24, lining up for a new club in his second season.
Former South East Melbourne import Trey Kell is back in the NBL next season, after signing a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers.
Kell made 24 appearances for the Phoenix last season, and averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Prior to arriving in Australia, he lifted titles in the top tiers of Polish, Italian and Canadian basketball.
He has also played in Hong Kong and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"What Trey can bring to the 36ers is that added closer I have been searching for," head coach CJ Bruton said.
"Trey showed us last season he can make a bucket and take over a game. This is an asset that's going to give us an added threat.
"He can also play multiple positions, which gives us many options at different lineups throughout the course of a game and the season."
