Illawarra Hawks star Justin Robinson will return to the court in July.

Illawarra Hawks import guard Justin Robinson will play for the Charlotte Hornets at the 2023 NBA Summer League, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc.

Robinson was one of the Hawks’ big name signings last offseason, but his debut NBL campaign ended before it could ever get up and running. The 25-year-old suffered a knee injury in the season opener against the Sydney Kings, which ruled him out for the season.

The 43-game NBA veteran will return to Illawarra this season after recommitting to the Hawks in January, in a major boost for Jacob Jackomas’ squad.

Robinson’s stint in the Summer League will be his first competitive basketball since the October injury.

A host of NBL stars will be in action at the NBA’s tradition summer tournament, including DJ Hogg, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr, Luke Travers, Keanu Pinder and more. Click here for the full reported list.

The 2023 NBA Summer League will take place on July 3 & 5 in Sacramento, July 3, 5-6 in Utah, and July 7-17 in Las Vegas.
