Jack McVeigh’s unbelievable rise has continued, with the Australian star reportedly agreeing to a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets.
According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, McVeigh’s NBA dream is now a reality as he is set to join the Rockets, alongside fellow Aussie Jock Landale.
McVeigh helped lead his Tasmania JackJumpers to a historic NBL championship this year, winning the Championship Series MVP. He averaged career-high numbers throughout the campaign with 16.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
McVeigh follows in the footsteps of both Landale (2021) and Xavier Cooks (2023), who also landed NBA contracts after winning an NBL title.
The 28-year-old is preparing for his Olympic debut with the Australian Boomers later this month.
