Red Bull and NBL join forces in League-wide partnership

The NBL on Thursday announced a new partnership with Red Bull, joining the League as the Official Energy Drink of the Hungry Jack's NBL.

The agreement extends across the entire League, with Red Bull also a supporting partner of HoopsFest and the Hungry Jack's NBL Ignite Cup.

The partnership will see Red Bull integrated across key moments of the NBL season, creating innovative fan experiences, and bringing energy to some of the league's biggest moments.

Samantha Green, NBL Chief Commercial Officer, said Red Bull's involvement was further evidence of the continued growth of the NBL.

"Red Bull is one of the most recognisable brands in the world, and having them join the NBL says a lot about where this League is heading," Green said.

"It's a natural connection; both brands are built on energy, innovation and pushing to be the best.

"Red Bull choosing to back the NBL now is further proof of the growth we're seeing right across the game, and we're proud to have them alongside us."

As part of the partnership, fans at every Ignite Cup and the Ignite Cup Finals Series games will see Red Bull's presence come to life courtside, with Red Bull Energy Stations installed at every game.

The partnership will also introduce the Red Bull Heat Check Moment, spotlighting a single high-energy moment in each game, from lock-down defensive stops to high-octane hustle plays.

The Hungry Jack's NBL Ignite Cup, presented by 7-Eleven, returns on Wednesday September 30, with a double-header featuring the inaugural champions, the New Zealand Breakers taking on the Cairns Taipans at 5.30pm AEST at Spark Arena.

This will be followed by the Sydney Kings playing the Brisbane Bullets from Afterpay Arena at 7.30pm.

Returning after an incredible first tournament, the Ignite Cup has gone up a level, with a total prize money pool of $550,000 available, the largest in NBL history.

The Ignite Cup will take place across the NBL regular season, and culminate in a final-four style tournament staged in Canberra at AIS Arena, with a double header on Friday, February 19, 2027 and the Final on Sunday, February 21, supported by Visit Canberra.

NBL27's Opening Week continues on Thursday with a huge double-header, starting with Throwdown 33 between the Phoenix and United, before Perth hosts Adelaide.
