Global sports brand PUMA has joined the Hungry Jack’s NBL as an official footwear partner and will continue to provide PUMA Hoops footwear products to athletes on-court.
PUMA will collaborate with the NBL on distinctive product drops and continue to share unique opportunities with basketball fans. This partnership will continue to leverage athletes to wear PUMA’s first signature basketball shoe, the MB.01, which is a collaboration between PUMA and current NBA star, former NBL Next Star, LaMelo Ball.
“We are delighted to welcome PUMA to the NBL’s family of partners,” Hungry Jack’s NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.
PUMA and the NBL are already linked via several player partnerships, including South East Melbourne Phoenix duo Mitch Creek and Kyle Adnam, and Cairns Taipans’ star Scott Machado, who are all PUMA athletes.
“PUMA is a global megabrand, and this agreement showcases the growing international profile of the NBL. We look forward to this being the start of a long and successful relationship,” Loeliger said.
The PUMA and NBL partnership aligns with PUMA Hoops' vision to expand the game and engage with fans globally. PUMA Hoops takes a culture first approach. That means shoes stylish enough to wear out — but that also perform at the highest level. NBL and PUMA will be creating a co-branded content series that delves deeper into the brand’s basketball heritage and offerings, making this partnership a natural fit.
“Our partnership with the NBL is an exciting step in the growth of PUMA Hoops in Australia,” Daniel ‘Pancho’ Gutstein, General Manager PUMA Oceania, said.
“We are proud to partner with one of the most dynamic basketball leagues in the world, whose community values align with our own commitment to Australian & New Zealand sport at every level.”
