PGT: Panathinaikos commits to community initiative

Through the ‘PGT Legacy: Connecting with the Greek Diaspora’ initiative, PAO BC and its sponsors have generously secured a significant number of event tickets that will be allocated to Greek schools in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as to various community organisations.

The European powerhouse wants to honour the late Pavlos Giannakopoulos and his lasting contribution to the club and the sport, in a truly unique and special way as the club travels to play in Australia for the first time.

The Pavlos Giannakopoulos Basketball Tournament in Australia proves to be more than just a basketball event — becoming a platform to bridge Greece and the global Greek diaspora.
