Brisbane's Nathan Sobey had himself a weekend to remember alongside Sydney's Jaylin Galloway, however the star trio couldn't do enough to see their side emerge with a pair of wins from the weekend's double-header.

Sobey dropped a solid 21 points in a strong win over North Gold Coast - Galloway added 29 - but exploded for 41 points and six steals against South West Metro Pirates in the Force's second NBL1 North fixture of the round.

Former Bullets import Lamar Patterson helped leader the Pirate's final quarter comeback. A 13-point margin in favour of the home side saw South West Metro defeat the Sobey-led Ipswich by seven points.

New Adelaide 36er Jason Cadee has continued to dominate the NBL1 North with the Gold Coast Rollers.

Cadee dropped 21 points, seven boards and seven assists in the Rollers' win over the Isaac White-led Mackay Meteors.

White scored 35 points in the loss, while Melbourne's Tanner Krebs starred with 29 points alongside Cadee for the Rollers.

Currently unsigned free agent Todd Blanchfield added 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Rollers in the win.

Cadee followed up his strong showing against Mackay with 33 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Rockhampton.

Ben Ayre celebrated his new contract with the South East Melbourne Phoenix with a near triple-double of 31 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists against Dandenong in NBL1 South, while Sabres teammate Dane Pineau added 19 points and 18 rebounds.

Deng Acuoth's Knox side proved too strong for the Sabres in their second game of the week though. Acuoth finished the game with 17 points and 10 rebounds in a low scoring victory for the Raiders.

West Adelaide's quartet of NBL talent proved too strong for Central Districts in NBL1 Central.

Illawarra's Lachlan Olbrich played the role of chief destroyer with 26 points and 10 rebounds, Tasmania's Anthony Drmic top scored with 28 points for the side, while Adelaide's Mitch McCarron stuffed the stat-sheet with 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

Adelaide development player Fraser Roxburgh added a crucial 15 points off the bench for the Bearcats.

Sam McDaniel and Lat Mayen ensured there was a Queensland derby in the south-east of the country when the pair clashed in NBL1 South.

McDaniel's Hobart Chargers proved too strong for Mayen's Bendigo Braves - largely off the performance of the new Brisbane wing.

He finished the game with 23 points and 10 boards while Mayen added 21 points of his own.

McDaniel then scored 25 points against Nunawading in Hobart's second game of the round.

South East Melbourne's Gorjok Gak found his Willeton Tigers side in a pair of nailbiters in NBL1 West.

Gak scored 18 points in a one-point loss to Joondalup to open the round for his side, before rebounding with 25 points in a nine-point win over East Perth.
