NBLxNBA returns this week

New Zealand and Cairns have taken their talents to America, where they'll play a grand total of four games.

NBLxNBA is returning this week, and this year we have two representatives flying the flag for our local competition, against some of the world’s best teams.

NBL23 runner-up New Zealand and semi-finalists Cairns have headed Stateside for a grand total of four games against NBA sides, and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s Adelaide 36ers who famously defeated the Phoenix Suns.

The Taipans will make their NBLxNBA debut against former NBL MVP Xavier Cooks and the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, October 11 before facing off against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, October 16.

New Zealand will be coming face to face with its NBL23 Next Star Rayan Rupert and will take on a new-look Portland Trail Blazers on October 11 before meeting the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, October 17.

Boomers Olympian and World Cup representative Matisse Thybulle will represent Portland alongside Rupert in the upcoming NBA campaign.
