The first Australian to be ever drafted into the NBA 2K League, Meason ‘Milo’ Camille is making his return to the league wearing the green and gold for Season 7.

In 2021, Milo was selected with the 62nd Pick by the PistonsGT, becoming the first Australian to play in the NBA 2K League.

The season was heavily impacted by COVID-19, leaving the start of his career interrupted and unable to showcase his immense talent.

Now two years later, Milo returns to the NBA 2K League with NBL Oz Gaming. He expressed how excited he is to represent his country on the bigger stage in the upcoming season.

It’s a dream come true. To be in the NBA 2K League is one thing, but to do it while representing your own country is truly spectacular,” he said.

“To represent green and gold means everything to me. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring home a championship to Australia.”

“When NBL Oz Gaming was first announced, I thought to myself what an amazing opportunity this will be for people in the Australian / New Zealand region and how it can create pathways for amazing talented individuals outside the United States region. To know I will be playing for NBL Oz Gaming and representing my country words can’t describe it. I can’t wait to be in the United States to meet my teammates & coach Mooty.”

The Reigning Coach of the Year, Mitchell ‘Mootyy’ Franklin, said that Milo’s personality and his skills on sticks will fit perfectly within NBL Oz Gaming.

“Milo brings multiple aspects to the table that go beyond just 2K. He already has league experience so he’s ready for the stage,” he said.

“He is going to bring good vibes and a strong work ethic to match Bag’s (Bagmotion). He joins a team already with chips on their shoulder and will be hungry to prove the doubters wrong… which is a recipe for success in the league.

“What stood out the most was how passionate he was about making the league again and how much he’s improved as a player. The kid is literally moving all the way to Canada to play on East Servers for the rest of pre-draft to prepare for the league. How can you top that?

“He made himself undeniable, I would’ve felt like we were robbing him if we didn’t give him this opportunity.  I want players who aren’t only skilled, but also good genuine human beings. Milo’s work ethic and infectious personality will no doubt rub off on the team.”

In the recent NBL Oz Gaming Tournament Series, Milo led his squad ‘Team Lockup’ to the 3v3 Grand Final, narrowly falling short to ‘Zero Tolerance’ in the three-game series.

Milo has competed at the highest levels of the ANZ region and beyond, playing on stage in the NBA 2K League Australia Invitational, NBA 2K League APAC Qualifiers dominating many online tournaments.

The former 62nd pick will join reigning Coach of the Year Mootyy, Ceez, HarryVZN and Bagmotion.
