NBL Congratulates Will Magnay and Jae’Sean Tate

The Hungry Jack’s NBL congratulates Will Magnay and Jae’Sean Tate on joining the NBA.

NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said: “Will and Jae’Sean thoroughly deserve their opportunity and we wish them every success. That they have progressed to the NBA is a tribute to their hard work and commitment as well as the tremendous support they have received from their clubs, the Brisbane Bullets and Sydney Kings.“

They will join LaMelo Ball and RJ Hampton in the NBA next season. To have four players from the Hungry Jack’s NBL last season playing in the NBA is a fantastic endorsement of the league and its standing in global basketball.“

With its high level of talent and programs like Next Stars, the NBL has proven that it’s a legitimate pathway to the NBA and we will continue to strengthen this pathway through the strong programs being implemented by our clubs. 

“We also have a great group of Next Stars to look forward to this season including Josh Giddey (Adelaide 36ers), Mojave King (Cairns Taipans) and Justinian Jessup (The Hawks) who was recently drafted by the Golden State Warriors.”

The 2020-21 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season will tip off in mid-January.
