United fight off COVID scare 

Melbourne United’s NBL Blitz opener tomorrow night will go ahead as planned after a COVID-19 scare ran through the club during the week.

Norton out of Blitz 

Perth Wildcats vice-captain Mitch Norton has been ruled out of the NBL Blitz after hyperextending his right knee.

The club is hopeful he will be available for the season opener on December 3.

McCarron named Sixers captain 

New recruit Mitch McCarron has impressed quickly after being voted the new captain of the Adelaide 36ers. Former skipper Daniel Johnson and Sunday Dech will also be in the leadership group.

No NBL for Joey

Three-time NBL Coach of the Year Joey Wright has told Newscorp he has “no interest in coaching in the NBL again”.

Wright currently runs a basketball academy in Adelaide called Transition Sports.
