Morrison unleashes rant over import questions 

Perth Wildcats coach Scott Morrison is sick of answering questions about the club potentially signing John Brown to replace Michael Frazier II, unleashing a rant after last night’s loss to Tasmania.

“Had we won, I would've been in a good mood and I could maybe do this f***ing song and dance or smile, or tell a joke and pretend I don't know what's going on. It's annoying, I'm tired of the questions,” Morrison said via the West Australian.

“It's not fair to the guys in the team that that's all anyone cares about. It's stupid. All right? That's the last time I'm even acknowledging that as a question.”

Drmic speaks on wild game winner

Anthony Drmic has described his thought process during his epic game winner for the Brisbane Bullets on Thursday night.

“I don’t think in the NBL I've made a shot like that, I don’t get the ball in that position a lot. I just saw Deng get hold of the pass and I knew that we needed a three to win so I just ran out to the three, Deng found me and I knocked it down. I thought it had a chance when it left my hand but I honestly don’t know,” Drmic said.

JackJumpers “never cease to amaze” Roth

Tasmania JackJumpers coach Scott Roth says his players “never cease to amaze” after Thursday night’s historic win in Perth.

“These guys never cease to amaze me. They continue to buy into everything we are doing, building a team culture, laying a great foundation with a lot of grit and determination,” Roth said.

Bad decisions cost Breakers

New Zealand Breakers coach Dan Shamir has lamented the poor decision making that led to his side’s overtime defeat to Brisbane on Thursday night.

“Basketball is a game of decisions and we made two bad ones at the end and made a few other mistakes throughout the game, but obviously had the game in our hands. We just made two big mistakes to close it and there it goes,” Shamir said.

“Reality check” for Phoenix

South East Melbourne’s Reuben Te Rangi says the Phoenix have received a “reality check” during their four-game losing streak, with the club struggling to close out games.

“This week’s been a big reality check and figuring out ways we can be better in those last couple minutes,” Te Rangi said via the Herald Sun.

Goorjian helping with preparations  

Despite being struck down with COVID-19, Illawarra Hawks coach Brian Goorjian is still helping the club prepare for Sunday’s blockbuster against Melbourne United.

“Brian is still heavily involved in the team's preparation for our game against United - this will be a great test for the team, as we work towards our third straight win,” Hawks co-owner and president Dorry Koradhi said.

Role change no impact for Deng 

Cairns Taipans star Majok Deng isn’t going to change his style of play, regardless if he is in the starting five or coming off the bench.

“I’m always going to be the same…I’m going to myself, always,” Deng said via the Cairns Post.
