Rucker’s high Brisbane praise

NBL legend Derek Rucker believes the Brisbane Bullets have one of the strongest rosters in the league.

“If you look at that roster one through four, everyone healthy, they have versatility, they have talent…I just don’t see any weakness,” Rucker said on The Huddle podcast.

Wildcats “confident” in COVID process 

Perth Wildcats CEO Troy Georgiu is confident with how the club is handling their current COVID dramas, saying the health of the travelling party is the top priority.

“I’m really confident that with the way they’re handling the processes that the group will experience as little disruption as possible despite everything that is happening,” Georgiu told The West Australian.

Hawks welcome fixture switch 

Brian Goorjian believes his Illawarra Hawks facing the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday is a “better scenario for us” as both clubs have been dealing with COVID enforced breaks.

Phoenix proud of Sykes

Former South East Melbourne Phoenix star Keifer Sykes has enjoyed a stellar week of performances in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers, and his NBL club couldn’t be more proud.

“I’m just tremendously proud of him. Seven years to get to your rookie game, you love to hear those stories in sport. I hope more players see the NBL as a pathway like Keifer did,” Phoenix coach Simon Mitchell said via The Age.
