Hawks v Kings will be “special”

Sydney Kings superstar Jaylen Adams believes tomorrow night’s clash against rivals Illawarra Hawks will be a big occasion.

“It’s going to be a special game. I don’t think we caught them when we were healthy, and I don’t think they’re the same team [we played previously]. They are playing really good basketball and they may be just as hot as us. It’s going to be real good fun,” Adams said via the Sydney Morning Herald.

Hawks ready for “huge opportunity”

Illawarra captain AJ Ogilvy says tomorrow night’s clash against Sydney presents a “huge opportunity” for the Hawks.

“This is the position we wanted to be in all those weeks ago, when there were people writing us off after dropping a few close ones and a big schedule on the road to come,” Ogilvy said via the Illawarra Mercury.

Travers not overthinking NBA scouts

Perth Wildcats youngster Luke Travers has explained his mindset while playing in front of NBA scouts over his last few games.

“I’m trying not to overthink it. At the end of the day, it’s just another game. It’s obviously a bit unique, coming out to Australia for these scouts, but at the end of the day it’s a dream come true to even have the scouts and be in the conversation about even making the NBA,” Travers told The West Australian’s The Dribble podcast.
