Brisbane forward DJ Mitchell has been suspended by his club and will miss the Bullets' first game of Round 4. 

Brisbane forward DJ Mitchell has been suspended by his club and will miss the Bullets' first game of Round 4. 

According to a Bullets statement, Mitchell "has been sanctioned for not adhering to team standards following an incident at training on Tuesday".

He will be sidelined for his team's away game against South East Melbourne Phoenix on Saturday evening. 

Newscorp reported details of the incident on Wednesday saying:
"Tensions overflowed at the under-pressure Brisbane Bullets on Tuesday when forward DJ Mitchell was sent home from training following a disagreement with coach James Duncan."

Mitchell starred in the Bullets' loss to Sydney, with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Brisbane is 0-4, after going into the season as one of the championship favourites.
