Brisbane Bullets star Nathan Sobey is aiming to play “some minutes” at the NBL Blitz as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Brisbane Bullets star Nathan Sobey is aiming to play “some minutes” at the NBL Blitz as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Sobey hasn’t played since February and has not participated in any on-court activities with the Bullets during training camp.

The 32-year-old is hoping the Blitz will mark a significant milestone in his return.

“Knee is tracking along alright. A lot of rehab and strengthening it at the moment. Still not back on court with the group yet,” Sobey told Nine News Darwin.

“The goal would be to try and play some minutes. Hopefully we can be ready in time.”

Sobey averaged 16.1 points for Brisbane last season. The Bullets’ Blitz campaign begins on September 18 against the New Zealand Breakers, while their regular season tips-off on October 2 against the Perth Wildcats.
