“I’ve had offers but I’m taking some time."

Five-time All-NBL Team member Mitch Creek is “training every day” as he plots his next career move.

Newscorp has reported the Brisbane Bullets inquired about Creek’s availability as a replacement player for the injured Sam McDaniel. Creek’s agency told the Bullets he “was looking to pursue opportunities overseas”.

However, with Creek’s constant presence on NBL Overtime and courtside at South East Melbourne Phoenix games, speculation will continue to swirl around a potential NBL return.

“I’ve had offers but I’m taking some time. I’m looking at them (along the lines of) is this a position that’s good for me, good for my family? If the answer is yes, well then I’ll look at it,” Creek said via Newscorp.

The 32-year-old averaged 20.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Phoenix last season.
