Development players aren’t just for the court – they’re also coming to NBL HQ, under the league’s new Graduate Development Program.
Development players aren’t just for the court – they’re also coming to NBL HQ, under the league’s new Graduate Development Program.
The program will see the Hungry Jack’s NBL open its doors to recent and soon to be graduating university students to join the league in five departments, including media and comms, finance, marketing, events and government relations.
As part of the program, graduates will join one of the most exciting and fast-growing leagues in Australian sport and experience the thrill of an accelerated career development opportunity.
Not only will graduates gain exposure in their chosen field, but they will learn from some of the industry’s best, have the opportunity to network and build trusting relationships, and push themselves to grow and develop in a fast-paced environment.
Applications for the Media & Comms Graduate and Finance Graduate are now open.
Applications will open for the Marketing Graduate, Events Graduate and Government Relations Graduate next year. The program will commence in February 2023.
“Some of the brightest minds in Australian sport are recent graduates, who are eagerly looking for their start in the sporting industry,” NBL Chief Commercial Officer Brad Joyner said.
“Our Graduate Development Program allows the next generation to gain an understanding of how a professional sporting league operates, and also gives them the opportunity to leave their imprint on the NBL in their chosen department.
“We look forward to the NBL becoming the pioneers in shaping the future leaders of sports, today.”
