Goorjian won’t coach Boomers

Taipans confident ahead of Phoenix clash
Cairns Taipans coach Adam Forde believes if the club corrects a couple of issues they will be in the box seat heading into Saturday night’s clash with the South East Melbourne Phoenix.
“We don’t need a long laundry list of things to improve on, but if we can hone in these, two or three things this will put us in the driver’s seat for the game this weekend,” Forde said via the Cairns Post.
Withers in love with Adelaide
Adelaide 36ers import Todd Withers has fallen in love with the city and would love to make it home.
“I’ve fallen in love with Adelaide. It’s a beautiful city and the people are so welcoming. I’d love to call Adelaide home,” Withers said via The Adelaide Advertiser.
White brings the fun
Perth Wildcats veteran Kevin White says the key to his career revival has been to stop worrying and start having more fun on the court.
“I’ve taken a page out of Jesse Wagstaff’s book and am just relaxing and playing basketball and having fun with it rather than being so stressed about results,” White told The West Australian’s The Dribble Podcast.
Hawks fly at practice
Back on the court after isolation, Illawarra Hawks captain AJ Ogilvy says, “the energy at practice on Saturday was unlike any session I have seen in a long time”.

NBL grows as NBA pathway
Fresh off the back of Josh Giddey’s triple-double, Ogilvy believes the NBL continues to strengthen as a pathway to the NBA.
“The guys in the NBA are a bit more athletic and longer but having played against that physicality (in the NBL) is very helpful,” Ogilvy said via The Illawarra Mercury.
