"There's only some things that you can control, and that's your effort, your energy, and all that stuff."

Dash Daniels may be very early into his professional career, but that doesn’t stop the exciting Next Star from looking ahead at what it will be like to achieve his ultimate dream.

"The NBA is the top league in the world, so once I get there, there's gonna be some learning curves," he told Draft Stack.

"There's only some things that you can control, and that's your effort, your energy, and all that stuff, so I'm gonna bring that to every team that I play for."

Daniels recently had the opportunity to showcase his talents against some of the other top prospects in his draft class during the Nike Hoops Summit, before an unfortunate injury cut his time short.

"I had my first three days at the camp before I got injured. I can evaluate myself with those other guys, and I think I'm sitting in a pretty good position right now," he said.

Daniels has a lot of similar skills as his older brother Dyson, headlined by his length and athleticism that make him an enticing defensive prospect. However, just like Dyson, who won the NBA’s Most Improved Player, Dash sees the chance to use his time at United to grow in all areas.

"The coaches believe in me to come to the team, be a leader, be that point guard, and really try and find my voice with the team,” he added.

Daniels will suit up for Sandringham in the NBL1 South before the NBL26 season tips off later this year.

"Being able to go into the Sabres programme and be that leading point guard, be able to create a little bit for myself and for my teammates as well—it's gonna be a much bigger role," he said.

While Dyson chose the G League path, Dash is staying close to home and joining a list of some lucrative Next Stars to have gone through the program and flourish at the highest level.

"I think the Next Stars has proven its success over the past couple of years," he said.

"We've had guys like Josh Giddey, Alex Sarr—those big name guys that have been drafted recently and they've gone on to do some pretty special things."
