Draft-and-stash forward Luke Travers marked his return to Summer League with a win over Brooklyn for the Cavaliers.

The new Melbourne United signing played 27 minutes off the bench and contributed to all phases of Cleveland’s narrow four-point win.

He registered 13 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and four blocks, as his side surged home in a high-scoring fourth quarter.

Boomers prospect Dyson Daniels starred for the New Orleans Pelicans, with his side falling to Minnesota by 14 points.

A dominant fourth quarter led to the Timberwolves’ win, but Daniels was among the best players on the court with 18 points, four steals and five rebounds.

Portland’s Rayan Rupert was quiet in what was his first game since finishing last season’s Championship Series with the New Zealand Breakers.

The rangy wing came off the bench in a deep rotation and added two assists and a rebound in 14 minutes of play, with a Jabari Smith Jr buzzer-beater relegating the Trail Blazers to a one-point loss.

NBL23 Perth import Brady Manek went on a second half scoring tear in the Atlanta Hawks' four-point loss to Sacramento .

Manek hit four three-pointers in the third quarter alone to help give his side the lead, however the Kings rallied late to emerge victorious.

He also finished the game with two rebounds, one block and one steal.

Star Kings signing DJ Hogg started for Toronto against the Bulls, managing seven points and three rebounds in a nine-point defeat.

Sam Waardenburg, Jaylin Galloway and former Breaker Hugo Besson all registered DNP – coaches decision on day one of Summer League, but with fixtures coming thick and fast, expect them to hit the court sooner rather than later.
