Browne charged with striking

The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League advises the Game Review Panel (GRP) has handed down the following sanction to South East Melbourne Phoenix player Gary Browne:

Browne was charged with striking during the game against the Brisbane Bullets on Saturday night.

The incident was assessed as a one-game suspension, reduced to $1550 with an early guilty plea.

The panel deemed the incident as intentional, medium impact and low contact.

The Phoenix can either accept the early guilty plea or appeal the GRP’s decision.

UPDATE: Gary Browne has accepted an early plea.
