Tim Coenraad re-signs with Hawks
Tim Coenraad has re-signed with the Illawarra Hawks for another year as the team's "6th" man. Coenraad, who has been playing with the Canberra Gunners during the off season, joins Rhys Martin, Kevin White, Cody Ellis, Oscar Forman and NBL first team starting five centre AJ Ogilvy as returning players from last year's top four side. Coenraad, who is currently 8th on the all times games played for the club with 193 games under his belt, is still as motivated as ever to improve his game and help the team achieve success. “I am always looking to build on my own game and under the guidance of the Hawks coaching staff I'm eager to improve in area's that the team needs” said Coenraad. Set to play a pivotal role as the Hawks’ ‘6th’ man this season, assistant coach Eric Cooks has even gone as far as comparing Coenraad to Golden State Warriors super star Draymond Green, suggesting Coenraad could be the ‘Draymond Green’ of the NBL. “Tim's role off the bench this year will be vital given his ability to rebound, defend and make the 3. In my opinion he has the potential to be the Draymond Green of the NBL” said Cooks.
