Rhys Vague Signs in Japan
Rhys Vague has signed in Japan for the coming season, joining the Kawaga Five Arrows after suiting up for the Perth Wildcats since the 2014/15 season as an 18 year-old.
Starting his time with the Wildcats as a Development Player, Vague was elevated to a contracted roster spot in 2018.
Vague will link up with former NZ Breakers and current Tall Blacks head coach Paul Henare in Japan.
The 24-year-old forward thanked the Perth Wildcats in a statement from the Club.
“It was a childhood dream to play for the team I grew up supporting, and I’m very proud to have reached that goal and experience a lot of success along the way,” he said.
“I’ve been very privileged to play alongside some incredible teammates, work with elite coaches and make lifelong friends.
“I want to thank the Perth Wildcats for the opportunity and helping me develop over the last six years.”
